And the only reason I realized it is because I had to go in for a non-related outpatient surgery. I realized every single time I had one of those horrible episodes, not my regular nausea vomiting episodes but the horrible bloat and rotten egg burps I had eaten trail mix. I know those burps! Eww i hate the bloat.
It's likely a good indicator you just killed some bacteria. Until you can get to a Dr, try natural anti biotic like thyme and lemon tea and see if that helps at all. Gastroparesis is pretty rare ish, wouldn't take the chance is something else is available. They can help bacteria sometimes in very rare occasions. Highly recommend staying away from pesto and aspirin btw. If you think Sulphur burps are bad, imagine rotten meat farts. I was farming for minutes 's kind of funny in hindsight but honestly I hope no one ever has to fart as much as that for days at a time. Also need 5o be mindful of your fluid intake as your fluods will help or hinder digestion. For me eating saurkraut and pineapple with food has helped tremendously. Be gentle to your stomach whenever possible. Fast a day or two to let swelling go down. It's insane but there isn't much you can do except eat less portions of more digestible food. Or alternatively, the food just sits in your stomach and rots creating the germs that our gut flora usually kills. A simple uti is all it could take for things to reach your kidneys, prostate or bladder.nit trying to scare you but you're describing the hall marks of a bad gut infection.my reasoning for me is that since the stomach doesn't contract anymore, it leave passages open in your digestive tract that may enable the germs to travel up and out. My kidney are STILL in pain for the infection I had in January. I'd get a fecal examination done to make sure you do t have an h pylori infection that's spiraling out of control. I've been put onto Domperidone (Motillium) in the meantime in the hopes it might prevent another attack. I've seen a few posts on here, and was wondering if anyone else who has had these has any known triggers for these flare ups, or effective ways to stop or mitigate the burp taste? I really don't want to go through another 8 hours of this hell like I used to.
I was diagnosed with gastroparesis in 2011 and my gastroenterologist seemed to think this was the root cause. I could not morally wish these on even the most vile person on the planet, they are that bad to the point where nothing else phases me anymore. These episodes eventually stopped in my teens, and then returned recently after 20 years. Not sure where to start, I'm a bit shaken.įor many years in my teens, I'd have these horrid attacks where my entire digestive system would go into agony (very uncomfortable 'full' feeling in my upper abdomen, maybe liver?), and I'd have these absolutely foul tasting 'rotten egg' burps followed by vomiting and severe diarrhoea for 8 hours straight, then pass out.
